The Healthcare Strategist will engage Kahler Slater's Healthcare Team to provide inspiration, leadership, and direction for the development and implementation of the Team's strategic priorities and business objectives.

These objectives will create profitable and concerted strategies for our healthcare market and our clients. Our clients and team members value a comprehensive approach to the development of strategic vision and direction.

As such, this role will include the potential to influence healthcare industry, market, and service line specific strategy for health systems engaging Kahler Slater to provide advisory, planning, and design professional services.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities of a Healthcare Strategist:


Leadership:


  • Provide the necessary direction for the development and implementation of the Healthcare Team's strategic priorities and business objectives.
  • Lead the Healthcare Team to identify, develop, and publicly convey thought leadership in support of the Team's strategic priorities.
  • Lead and support client communications and presentations where healthcare strategy is represented by the Firm.

Business Development:


  • Identify opportunities for strategic alignment and growth of the Team's professional service offerings.
  • Identify and define strategic opportunities for research and development in support of optimizing the Team's professional service offerings.
  • Participate in new business development; including but not limited to the pursuit of new client opportunities (pursuits, proposals, interviews, & conferences).
  • Participate in the development & implementation of the Team's Business Plan.
  • Collaborate with Marketing ensuring the Healthcare Team strategies align with the overall firm's brand identity.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities for a Healthcare Strategist:

  • An accredited degree from a four-year college or university; master's degree and above, preferred.
  • Minimum of ten years of relevant professional experience concentrated in the development of strategy for health systems and/or professional services Firms serving the healthcare industry.
  • Must demonstrate a proven ability to develop and implement strategy in support of stated and planned business objectives.
  • A demonstrable working knowledge of the typical business model for an advisory service, planning, and design Firm.
  • Strong verbal, graphic, and written communication skills.

Occasional travel is expected as it relates to servicing clients and professional development.
