SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position may require bending, squatting, or standing for extended periods of time and may require lifting of up to 50 pounds.
The incumbent in this position is responsible for, but not limited to the following:Installing and repairing all types of plumbing fixtures such as heaters, flush valves, gait valves, globe valves, hot water circulating pumps, mixing valves, relief valves, supply lines and P traps.
Installing water lines, upkeep of main water lines throughout campus. Installing new water lines on renovation projects.Installing new lines and repairing broken lines
Examples:
sewer lines, unstopping sewer lines, lavatories, kitchen sinks, washing machines, floor drains, dish machines, food disposals, air vent lines and condensation lines, etc.
Prepare supply and purchase requisitions for materials that will need to be ordered to complete all tasks and projects.
Operate hand and power tools associated in the plumbing trade.Upon completion of the job or at the end of the day, ensure that all tools and materials are stored properly.
Ensures that no hazardous conditions exist, clean up all trash and debris, no slippery surfaces or open holes in pathways, no exposed wires or hot surfaces.

DIRECT DEPOSIT PROGRAM
As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program.

Banks, savings and loan associations, and credit unions are eligible to accept such deposits. Retirement funds are also required to be in the Direct Deposit Program.BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
