VAT Services Manager (m/f/d)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advising companies on all types of VAT and related business issues, both nationally and internationally, with a focus on supply chain management and M&A transactions
  • Managing projects directly with our clients (e.g. VAT checks, creating VAT handbooks, workshops) and providing ongoing VAT advice by drafting/reviewing VAT opinions and reports in German and English
  • Corresponding with various tax authorities and coordinating with our international colleagues in the International VAT Group for cross-border transactions
  • Reviewing VAT returns, VAT prepayments, and registrations for VAT purposes
  • Assisting with national and international tax audits, VAT special audits, and information requests
  • Resolving legal issues in court proceedings before national and European courts
  • Managing VAT corrections

YOUR PROFILE

  • Degree in law, business administration, or a comparable field, preferably with a professional qualification (tax advisor, lawyer)
  • Knowledge of national and international tax law and several years of professional experience in the field of national and international VAT law
  • Experience in managing VAT projects is an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English and proficient in MS
