- Inspect and report on commercial HVAC installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance compliance to industry and/or ASHRAE standards.
- Develop auditing and documentation procedures for HVAC inspections.
- Perform root cause analysis on failed HVAC equipment and determine appropriate corrective actions to minimize future failures.
- Review commissioning data to determine no discrepancies.
- Evaluate, train, teach and coach a workforce of Engineers and Maintenance Technicians on compliance best practices as needed.
- May be required to work exposed to heat, sunlight, rain, cold, daylight and night-time hours
- 10+ years experience in commercial building systems with a primary focus on HVAC
- Comprehensive knowledge of Safe Work practices & PPE especially regarding energized work, working at heights and confined spaces.
- Ability to analyze the operation of various Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take or suggest corrective action.
- Ability to effectively use computers and computer programs; including Excel, Word, Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and desire to produce high quality results
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience mentoring or teaching technical HVAC knowledge to technicians
- Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration and HVAC
- EPA 608 Universal Certification
