We serve Individuals in private residences, respite facilities, community work sites, training centers, supervised living arrangements, and our own state-licensed group homes.


High-Level Job Description**:


The Vocational Manager responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of all aspects of our Day Program including training and finding employment opportunities for our participants, program support, and administrative duties.

Overseeing complete and proper documentation, assisting with scheduling, participating in required meetings (e.g. IP's and biannuals), writing reports, and ensuring compliance with all company and oversight agencies policies and procedures are required duties of this role.

To be successful, the incumbent must have strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint and must be willing to jump right in, ensuring the best for our Individuals and program.

Interoffice travel and on-call responsibilities are required. This position does have the opportunity for advancement.


Responsibilities:


Day to Day Operations and Program Support:

  • Monitor daily operations of our vocational program including floor supervision
  • Ensure we consistently meet the vocational, emotional, social, medical, clinical, and physical needs of our Individuals
  • Maintain and schedule assignments of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to guarantee daily ratio compliance along with aligning the best staff to meet Individuals needs
  • Collaborate with staff members to plan or develop programs of events, activity schedules, or menus
  • Understand, follow, and enforce all policies and procedures of our agency and all oversight agencies
  • Provide training to staff and individuals on all activities, jobs and required paperwork
  • Work oncall shifts as needed

Management:

  • Oversee Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) including scheduling, performance management and employee development. Ensure team members always have all required trainings and certifications
  • Lead and participate in all team meetings and ensure all team members are informed and have all required information to successfully do their jobs
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of DSPs as needed. Continue to train on proper operational procedures and company policies
  • Facilitate effective use of time and resources
  • Maintain an overall management style that follows company mission statement and core values

Administrative:

  • Ensure completion of documentation and duties of DSPs and file all documentation according to established procedures
  • Write and prepare quarterly reports for individual meetings. Attend and participate in required meetings, trainings, and inservices as needed
  • Ensure compliance with policies established by our agency and Department of Developmental Disabilities and other oversight agencies

Other:


  • Develop a strong understanding of the workings of each department and team in our company
  • Perform special projects/assignments as needed

Additional Required Responsibilities:


  • This job requires local travel with Individuals using company vehicles. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required
  • This job also requires participation in a rotating oncall staffing program

  • At least two years' experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities or those on the autism spectrum in an educational/vocational setting is required
  • A minimum of 2 years proven experience in training / job coaching Individuals in a similar environment
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record
