    Looking for a Structural Engineer w/PE & Forensics experience

    NO SPONSORSHIP or RELOCATION AT THIS TIME

    If you live in or are willing to commute to Irving TX and you have at a Master degree in Structural Engineering with your PE in Texas and you have recent experience with reading

    My client is looking for the following skills:

    Technical project execution, including applying sound engineering judgment and a deep understanding of governing codes, design guidelines, and industry practices; collaborating with interdisciplinary project teams as the structural engineering subject-matter expert (SME); leveraging your expertise for a variety of structural engineering projects, including the investigation, design, analysis, and/or repair of new and existing structural materials and systems, loading conditions, and construction types); preparing technically excellent client deliverables; providing high-quality reviews and oversight of work by others; and performing and training others in hands-on field work


    • Project management, including client development, project scoping, assembling and managing appropriate project teams, maintaining project schedules and budgets, and managing client expectations and deliverables


    • Contributions to structural engineering practice and company-wide objectives, including participating in recruitment, mentoring, and development of up-and-coming consultants; collaborating with other practice leaders for in-house knowledge-sharing and training initiatives; and enhancing the company's profile through meaningful involvement in professional organizations, conferences, and technical committees

    Qualifications/Competencies:


    • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas, or ability to obtain by comity; SE licensure a plus


    • Master's degree in civil/structural engineering or related field


    • Minimum eight years (15+ yrs preferred) of relevant structural engineering industry experience, including technical and project management (e.g., failure/damage investigation; non-destructive evaluation and instrumentation; structural analysis and design for repair, retrofit, and rehabilitation of existing structures; bridge engineering; civil infrastructure; and/or specialty consulting of new systems and materials from design through construction)


    • Established expertise with some or all of the following materials, systems, and their applications: cast-in-place concrete, post-tensioned concrete, pre-stressed/precast concrete, structural steel, stainless steel, cold-formed steel, wood, clay masonry, CMU, etc.


    • Effective technical, graphical, written, and verbal communication skills


    • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing demands, while maintaining a high standard of excellence, integrity, and attention to detail

    The salary for this position is:

    $105,000 - $165,000
