Description
OverviewAs an Acuity Adaptable ICU Nurse at Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in caring for patients with different acuity levels, ensuring they receive top-notch care, medications, and treatments as prescribed, all aimed at achieving the best possible outcomes.
In your daily tasks across ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg units, you'll provide exceptional care to patients with varying acuity levels, managing their condition, performing diagnostic tests, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with strong critical thinking abilities, are key to excelling in this position.
Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for eligible employees after 180 days, providing debt relief and student loan assistance of up to $18,000 for full-time employees and $9,000 for part-time employees over five years. Advanced Practice Providers and Faculty Physicians have the opportunity to receive up to $90,000 if hired full-time within a year of residency or fellowship completion.
Responsibilities
This role offers the chance for cross-training in other service lines like PCU and PEDS, exposure to ICU patients while working in MCU caring for MST patients, and opportunities for growth and learning within the team. The environment encourages teamwork and collaboration across different specialties, offering avenues for advancement such as Charge RN, Resource RN, and participation in various committees.
* Providing comprehensive care to patients ranging from adolescent to geriatric, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
* Handling complex patient situations with supervision, assisting in managing patient care provided by other nursing staff members.
* Taking on the responsibilities of a Primary Nurse and Team Leader.
Qualifications
Minimum:
* Associate degree in Nursing or its foreign equivalent.
* 9 months of RN experience.
* Valid compact state or Arizona RN license.
* American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
* American Heart Association Basic Life Support for healthcare providers.
* Demonstrated proficiency in basic EKG skills through test completion or EKG class/modules within six months of hire.
Preferred:
* Bachelor's degree in Nursing or its foreign equivalent.
* One year of pediatric RN experience.
* American Heart Association Advanced Pediatric Life Support.
