Responsibilities

Peraton is looking for Systems Engineers to provide support for the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3. The positions are based at the SOCOM Headquarters in MacDill, AFB FL, as well as at TSOC and Component locations both in the United States and abroad. The main goal of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to deliver Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps), system and network infrastructure, end user support, configuration, change, license, and asset management, training, and IMACs services. The responsibilities associated play a crucial role in supporting USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and the end-users operating globally 24/7.

Systems Engineers provide tier three systems support following the SIE OPORD. Apart from a profound understanding of Government software and hardware, Systems Engineers should possess advanced analytical, troubleshooting, and design skills. Effective communication with technical and non-technical users is a must. Familiarity with the systems engineering process and data forms a fundamental basis for performance enhancement. Active participation in working groups, design reviews, and system tests is essential. This role involves generating assessments, developing actionable recommendations, and demanding extensive knowledge of the development process with a focus on specification, documentation, and quality assurance.

Duties include:

Offering planning and engineering advice to network planners
Assisting in network planning for contingencies, exercises, and operations
Developing tools and playbooks for automating configuration processes
Planning network changes to accommodate emerging requirements
Reviewing, editing, and maintaining documentation and diagrams
Identifying tools and processes for enterprise NetOps tasks
Providing design and architectural recommendations for long-term problem resolution
Assisting with troubleshooting and problem resolution as needed
Staying updated on industry standards
Some roles may involve non-standard work schedules to support USSOCOM missions

Qualifications

5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
Relevant experience may substitute formal education
DoD TS clearance required
Minimum 8 years related experience in supporting DoD enterprise level IT programs
Focus on performance optimization in engineering
Expertise in a systems or application programming language
Proficiency in web-based frameworks
Knowledge of data structures and relational database systems
Familiarity with network and information exchange technologies
Experience with system engineering processes and techniques
Strong collaboration, communication, and technical writing skills
Specific certifications are mandatory per job requirements

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This range reflects the standard salary for this role based on experience and qualifications.
