    My client is seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Depot Service Engineer to support the repair, maintenance, and technical evaluation of advanced equipment used in fertility treatment technology and fertility laboratories. This role is based within a centralized service facility and focuses on diagnosing, repairing, testing, and refurbishing medical devices and laboratory technologies that support critical reproductive workflows.

    My client is a global MedTech leader specializing in fertility treatment technologies, formed by integrating several of the most respected brands in reproductive health, laboratory technology, and fertility‑focused medical devices.

    Description

    They key responsibilities of the Depot Service Engineer are:

    • Perform root‑cause analysis, troubleshooting, and repairs on a broad range of fertility and laboratory devices, including embryo transfer equipment, media support systems, incubators, and specialized reproductive technology tools.
    • Conduct component‑level repairs, part replacements, adjustments, and calibrations to restore devices to full operational standards.
    • Ensure all repairs comply with regulatory, safety, and quality requirements applicable to medical equipment.
    • Execute functional testing and quality verification protocols to confirm devices meet performance specifications used in reproductive medicine and laboratory environments.
    • Maintain complete documentation of testing data, repair actions, serial numbers, and device history records in accordance with regulatory standards.
    • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring technical issues and communicating trends to engineering and quality teams.]
    • Provide technical guidance to internal teams, customer service personnel, and field support specialists.
    • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve device reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability.
    • Assist with updates to repair procedures, service manuals, and technical documentation.

    Profile

    The successful Depot Service Engineer will have:

    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related field.
    • 2+ years of experience in depot repair, medical device servicing, laboratory equipment maintenance, or precision equipment repair.
    • Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to troubleshoot electronics, mechanical systems, sensors, and embedded controls.
    • Familiarity with regulated environments and quality standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, or medical device compliance expectations).
    • Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, test procedures, and service documentation.
