National Environmental Due Diligence Practice Lead
Role Overview:
This position will focus on a variety of multi-disciplinary consulting skills and experience, focusing primarily on environmental due diligence and environmental risk for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and real estate development transactions, as well as environmental compliance support and site investigation/remediation.
This position will be responsible for:
- Taking a lead role in developing newbusiness opportunities and presentations that create and nurture client opportunities and partnerships.
- Serving as a key point of contact with clients and manage proposals and project teams involved in midsized to largescale opportunities.
- Negotiating with clients on project scope, job tasks, budget, and schedule.
- Delegating and overseeing the work of junior and senior staff and providing mentoring and training to technical staff to complete due diligence, compliance support and site investigation assignments.
- Providing an owner's level of care and Trusted Advisor role for all facets of projects.
- Providing technical assistance to project teams while ensuring effective communication with clients, internal resources, and other stakeholders.
- Overseeing technical evaluations and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- BS and/or advanced degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Geology, or related field with at least 20 years of client and project management experience in environmental consulting.
- PE or PG a plus.
- Ability to multitask, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently.
- Ability to productively interact/negotiate with regulatory personnel and clients.
- Demonstrated abilities in leadership, management, administration, and staff development.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships serving as a Trusted Advisor.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to develop business from new and existing clients.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; experience preparing reports that demonstrate technical knowledge and compliance expertise.
- Ability to promote safety first culture.
- Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required.
