JOB SUMMARY Entry level position - under close supervision responsible for assisting with and performing duties related to the daily operations and maintenance of company owned pipelines including both gas and water systems.

Assists with pipeline maintenance projects such as pigging operations, start-ups, shut-downs and routine maintenance on other pipeline components and systems.

Performing line locates on company operated ROW and upstream oil and gas facilities will comprise a large portion of operator's time.

Job requirementsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assists with and performs pigging operations at various checkpoints on pipelineAssists with and maintains dehydration systems on the pipelineMonitors and assists with compressor station operationsAssists with and monitors various flow control equipment on gas and water systemsPerforms preventative pipeline facility maintenanceAssists with troubleshooting of related subsystems, including startups, shut-downs andcombustion control issuesAssists with and operates meter stations, pipeline facilities, disposal facilities, corrosion control and right-of-way maintenance as necessaryComplies with all regulatory, environmental and safety rules and standards, as well as company policies Other tasks as assigned SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Strong commitment to safety and environmentEstablished proficiency in basic computing skills including Microsoft Office Applications is requiredGood verbal and written communication skills are necessaryMust be a self-starter and posses the ability to work independentlyMust be a team playerLine locating experience is strongly preferred YEARS OF EXPERIENCE 1-2 years Although this is the entry level position, some related industry experience is preferredEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School or GEDThis position typically requires skills normally obtained through the completion of High School, GED or equivalentTRAVEL REQUIREMENTSThis position requires a valid state issued driver's license, and employees must pass an initial drug and alcohol screening at hire.

Incumbents in the position may be subject to random drug and alcohol screenings as per the DOT Regulations. Required to travel between field sites to perform daily tasks.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDSWork is typically performed outdoors. Exposure to conditions, such as extreme heat or cold is likely. Incumbents in this position must be able to physically and legally operate company vehicles and equipment.

Employees must be able to perform work which requires walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, heavy lifting, and climbing, including steps and vertical ladders.

Personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes and flame resistant clothing is required.

Safety rules including OSHA requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.
