Description
Our client, a law firm in NYC, is looking for an Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk supports the Controller in performing a variety of general accounting and finance support tasks.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Accounts Payable

  • Client cost
  • Firm expenses
  • Trust Accounting
  • Employee Expense Reimbursement
  • Credit Card Reconciliation
  • Enter Wires in Bank's Website
  • Organized with electronic records
  • Enter invoices and cut checks

Accounts Receivable

  • Bank deposits on Remote Deposit Machine & bank branch
  • Post Cash Receipts to clients' accounts
  • Enter retainer, prepayments, etc. in accounting system
  • Received clients' payments via credit card
  • Prepare A/R Report
  • Ad Hoc tasks from Controller/Partners

Requirements:


  • Prior law firm experience on a similar role
  • Work from office
  • Organization skills
  • Excel Proficiency

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:1-2 years of accounting experience in a law Firm environment.

Familiarity with QuickBooks:

-
Excel Proficiency

SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires some flexibility in scheduling, such as the ability to work evenings and weekends to meet client deliverables.
  • This is a full onsite role, with the expectation to be in the office 5days per week.
