Camp Program Manager


Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Camp Program Manager to oversee the coordination and administration of all aspects of an ongoing program across six camp sites.

This full-time, temporary position spans a 5-week summer camp period and is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and success of our diverse camp offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Oversight: Manage the overall operations of the camp across six different locations, ensuring each site delivers a high-quality experience consistent with the camp's objectives.

Staff Management: Supervise and support camp staff at each site, including scheduling, training, and evaluation to ensure staff are effectively contributing to camp goals.

Resource Allocation: Coordinate the distribution and utilization of resources across all sites to meet program needs without exceeding budget constraints.

Compliance and Safety: Monitor all camp activities for compliance with safety standards and regulations, implementing risk management strategies to ensure a safe environment for all participants.

Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for all site coordinators, facilitating clear and consistent communication between sites and with the central camp administration.

Program Development and Evaluation: Continually assess and develop program content based on participant feedback and outcomes, striving for continuous improvement in camp offerings.

Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with parents, community leaders, and educational partners to enhance program visibility and impact, ensuring stakeholders are informed and supportive of camp activities.

Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports on program progress and outcomes, providing insights and recommendations to camp directors and funding bodies.


Qualifications:

• Proven experience in program management, preferably in an educational or recreational camp setting.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple sites and teams effectively.
• Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
• A background in education, child development, or a related field is highly desirable.
• First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain prior to the start of the camp.

Contract Details:

• This position is a temporary, fulltime role specifically for the duration of the 5week summer camp.
• The role requires travel between multiple camp sites and may include weekend or evening hours as needed to support program activities and staff.
