- Improve patient and facility outcomes.
- Ensure/promote safe, effective and efficient use of health information technology across the care continuum.
- Provide regional oversight of health information technology for Trinity Health Of New England, its hospitals and clinics.
What You Will Do: - Review medical informatics trends, experiences and approaches, develop technical and application implementation strategies and assist in the development of strategic and execution plans for health information technology.
- Lead and facilitate key clinical leadership groups in the development of required clinical content, protocols and workflows to ensure best practices are represented in health information technology.
- Represent medical staff in organizational discussions relating to the application and use of health information technology in the health care environment.
- Develop health informatics strategies in collaboration with other senior clinical, medical informatics and operational leaders related to health information technology, procurement, implementation, maintenance and optimization.
- Act as a change agent in the identification, development, planning, implementation and value measurement of informatics strategies to support quality patient care and professional practice.
Minimum Qualifications: - Must be a Board Certified and licensed MD/DO.
- Informatics fellowship training is preferred.
- Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of Health Informatics through the combination of education and experience. Fellowship trained preferred.
- Must be able to be credentialed as a trainer in the EPIC model.
