PRN PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

Location:
Prince William Surgery Center, Manassas, VA


Position Type:
PRN (As Needed), No Weekends, No Holidays, No Call Required

Prince William Surgery Center is seeking a PRN PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The PRN PACU RN will provide high-quality care to patients recovering from surgical procedures in our multispecialty surgery center. This position offers flexibility with no weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements.


Responsibilities:


  • Monitor patients postoperatively in the PACU, assessing vital signs, pain levels, and overall recovery.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth transition from the operating room to the recovery area.
  • Educate patients and their families on postoperative care instructions and potential complications.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in the PACU.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and regulatory standards.

Required Skills:


  • Valid RN license in the state of Virginia.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU or critical care nursing preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and prioritize patient care tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Willingness to work on an asneeded basis with no weekend, holiday, or call responsibilities.
USPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.

If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date.
