- Meet and greet visitors coming to the Venice Station, explaining routing and trip planning as well as educating them on our website and features to help assist them with riding the bus.
- Manage Passes/Vouchers. This includes, but is not limited to: pull bus passes for other divisions of the department, validate passes, reconcile bus pass inventory and research differences, prepare and process invoices for pass purchases, process Veteran vouchers, and update Excel and Smartsheet files related to pass sales.
- Ensure 100% accuracy of cash control and from ticket sales for change fund.
- Make sure cash and passes are securely stored at all times and at the end of each business day.; this includes preparing and reconciling bulk sales of passes accounts receivable based on daily collection and inventory information.
- Manage the Lost and Found items.
- Serve as one-half of dual control finance team for processing of vault revenues collected, management of pass inventory and other dual control functions.
- Assist staff with department records retention, regular review and maintenance of electronic files, audits, and miscellaneous projects.
- Assist staff with the entry of all Transit assets into Bus Stop Manager. This includes location, cost of asset, funding sources, asset number, and status of asset.
- Provide back up support for the Downtown Transfer Station and Finance staff as needed.
- Full-Time, 40 hours per week.
- Must be flexible on location - will report to the Venice Transit Depot two to three (2-3) days a week and the remaining days at Transit Administration.
- Monday: 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. | Transit Administration
- Tuesday: 9:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. | Venice Transit Depot
- Wednesday: 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. | Transit Administration
- Thursday: 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. | Venice Transit Depot
- Friday: 6:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. | Venice Transit Depot
- On rare occasion work schedules may vary due to split shifts, rotations, on-call, emergencies, etc.
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- One year of experience in a clerical or public contact work and working knowledge of computer and hardware systems dealing with public response.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Prior experience in customer service, handling money, filling out receipts, and/or preparing daily electronic reports.
- Prior experience operating Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook on a daily basis.
