Stock Handler


Location:
Wilmington

UNDER THE DIRECTION OF INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR,


YOU SHALL:
Receives and issue materials, tools, and equipment in accordance with company procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Receives and issues and delivers parts, tools, materials, and equipment in accordance with Company procedures.
  • Performs cycle counting and other inventory stocking tasks.
  • Process Invoices and create Requisitions as needed.
  • Maintains files and stores records.
  • Maintain appropriate level of inventory to yard requirements
  • Obtain and handle nonstock materials as needed
  • Maintain documentation of storage locations and labeling of shelves.
  • Is responsible for the safe operation of all equipment used in storage and retrieval of all materials.
  • All other duties of lower classification in progression and other duties assigned by Supervisor.
  • Receive in materials from CDC or other warehouses on a daily basis if needed.
  • Put Away all materials delivered as needed
  • Work closely with outside Contractors and Company Field personnel

Qualifications:


  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be capable of performing clerical operations involved, be accurate and reliable.
  • Must pass company physical and qualifying tests
  • Must have a valid Massachusetts Drivers' license with a safe driving history and be in good physical condition
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid Commercial Drivers License "B" with a safe driving history
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid Forklift License.
  • Must be an approved driver of company vehicles
  • Respond to call ins on a 24 hour basis
  • Must be in good physical condition
  • Ability to handle and lift materials up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to operate hoisting and rigging equipment
  • Ability to stock shelves as well as climb ladders up to 20'.
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts of 8 or more hours, lunch break as assigned, as well as overtime on a planned or unplanned basis.
  • Knowledge of construction and distribution practices and procedures
  • Must be generally familiar with the underground distribution system
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers
  • Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to deal with outside contractors
  • Must be innovative, drive for results, focus on customer and demonstrate and promote teamwork.

Additional Requirements:
This position is covered under DOT drug testing and a valid Massachusetts Driver's license required
