    PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION:

    We are seeking a seasoned attorney who can work autonomously, handle major legal matters, and oversee other attorneys on project-specific mentoring basis. This role involves supervising professional teams and managing significant legal issues of importance.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Provide legal counsel to PECO's electric and natural gas delivery businesses on various state and federal energy regulatory issues
    • Offer legal advice on state and local municipal laws related to facility construction, operation, safety, and maintenance for PECO
    • Deliver general legal services to PECO business units, including contract drafting, negotiation, and managing outside counsel
    • Represent PECO in industry groups and provide policy recommendations
    • Provide guidance to junior attorneys and support staff
    • Develop budgets and assessments for outside counsel matters

    JOB SCOPE:

    • Manage relationships with Business Units and external counsel
    • Demonstrate strong business acumen and industry knowledge
    • Display exceptional leadership skills and excel in high-pressure environments

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • LLB or JD from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law
    • 10-12 years of legal experience in a specialized area
    • Extensive knowledge of legal principles and practices
    • Strong research and analytical skills

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience in managing rate cases
    • Supervisory experience with other attorneys
    • Familiarity with various ratemaking structures
    • Engagement with external utility stakeholders
