Description
General Statement of Duties This position is a 260-days (12 months), 8 hours/day position at Short Pump Middle School.The starting salary is $45,599.38 or based on promotion policy for internal candidates.
(Note:
Salary may be prorated dependent upon employment start date.).
Serves as the financial secretary for the schoolPerforms a wide variety of clerical or account keeping tasksReceives forms and documents from vendors, verifies and processes for paymentUses computer terminal to enter, retrieve, verify and research information relative to departmental expendituresChecks, verifies, and analyzes a variety of data to locate errors and solve problemsAttends work daily and is engaged and on taskStrong member of the front office while assisting with customer service responsibilities Essential Duties Receives letters and phone calls concerning complaints or problems; researches problems and communicates by phone or letterPrepares payroll information related to automated personnel, payroll and leave systemPerforms a wide variety of clerical or account keeping tasksCalculates amount of checks and writes checks to cover payroll, federal and state withholding tax, credit union, etc.
Receives information and processes employment formsReceives forms and documents which affect payroll and makes required changesUses computer terminal to enter, retrieve, verify and research informationChecks, verifies, and analyzes a variety of data to locate errors and solve problemsAttends work daily and is engaged and on taskPerforms other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications A high school graduate or equivalent (business school or some college preferred).Leadership qualities and communication skills are necessary.
Ability to use computers in a broad range of applications such as but not limited to the following:Word Processing; Spreadsheet Data Entry and Spreadsheet Design; Database Maintenance; and Internet Search Engines.
Should be able to deal effectively with the public.
