Discover your exciting role:

The Designer, I&C participates in a team environment consisting of engineers and designers to produce construction documents for the following systems: Instrumentation and Controls, Telecommunications, Fire Alarm, and Security.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities:

Assists in developing technology systems construction documents using architectural background layouts and system performance requirements defined by the project team including the architect, engineer and project manager
Assists senior staff with services during construction, including responding to RFIs, shop drawing and submittal review, and asbuilt drawings
Assists in predesign project activities, such as site assessment, site plan review, and verification of as built conditions
Assists in developing projects in compliance with engineering codes, standards, principles, relevant specifications and contractual requirements
Assists project team to find optimum system solutions, routing, materials, and space management for equipment and various cable distribution systems
Assists in the production of construction documents under the supervision of a Professional Engineer and coordinate with other disciplines
Assists in development of construction drawings, specifications, details, schedules and diagrams for electrical and lighting systems
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
Mentor interns and junior members of project teams
Other related design services include coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering/ internal and external)
Assists in performing quality control reviews of work developed by others
Other duties as assigned

Show your expertise:

3+ years of experience
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate's degree with technical focus preferred
Good time management skills, strong work ethic and attention to details
Proficient in the use of Autodesk Building Systems Software
Individual must possess strong communication and organizational skills
Strong team player with an ability to build effective working relationships
Energetic and selfmotivated Working knowledge of Microsoft products
