The Department of Microbiology and Immunology is in search of an hourly Laboratory Specialist to support the research in the laboratory of Dr.

Gregory Buck.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Purify DNA and RNA from various sample types
  • Perform QA/Qc on RNA/DNA sample
  • Perform Real Time PCR to assess the presence of viral sequences

Required Qualifications:


  • Experience with RNA and DNA purification, QA/QC and Real Time PCR

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to perform repetitive protocols reliably
