Position Summary:

The Junior Network Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting our network infrastructure under the guidance of senior personnel. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in network engineering. The successful candidate will help implement and maintain our networking technology, assist with troubleshooting issues, and contribute to projects that enhance our network capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and implementation of network configurations, network architecture, and network integration.
Participate in routine network maintenance tasks, including updating software, patching vulnerabilities, and ensuring network security.
Monitor network performance to identify and resolve bandwidth issues, system discrepancies, and network bottlenecks.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for network-related issues to internal teams.
Collaborate with team members on deployment of new hardware and software components.
Help document network problems and resolutions for future reference.
Engage in learning opportunities to remain up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.

Qualifications Required:

Education:

Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

Prior internship or practical experience in a network environment is beneficial but not mandatory.

Technical Knowledge:

Basic understanding of networking principles and components such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
Familiarity with network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
Initial exposure to network troubleshooting and tools (e.g., Ping, Traceroute).

Additional Skills:

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Keen attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under supervision.
Eagerness to learn and grow within the IT field.
