Job Description:

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

  • Must be available to work on Saturdays. This is not a Monday to Friday role.
Position Type:

Director of Catering Responsibilities:
  • Lead the catering department, manage deliveries, and cultivate strong customer relationships
  • Ensure smooth operation of catering services from planning to execution
  • Develop catering relationships with local businesses and schools
  • Maintain high standards for quality and presentation of catering offerings
  • Manage day-to-day activities such as organizing orders, confirmation calls, and overseeing timely deliveries
  • Drive the Catering Van safely
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance
  • Implement quality control measures and corrective actions
  • Lead the catering team with leadership and commitment to customer satisfaction
Key Duties:
  • Manage daily activities and customer relationships
  • Oversee catering event schedules
  • Create innovative ways to attract catering customers
  • Seek upselling opportunities and focus on repeat business
  • Conduct meetings and training sessions
  • Address delivery-related issues promptly
  • Be the primary contact point for catering inquiries and feedback
  • Ensure seamless service throughout the catering experience
  • Conduct follow-ups with customers regularly
  • Express gratitude to frequent customers
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Prior experience in catering operations and leadership roles
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Valid driver's license and clean record
  • Flexibility to work varied hours
  • Strong phone etiquette and self-starter
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for hospitality and exceeding customer expectations
