Job Details:


Production Supervisor, with USDA knowledge to join a well-established food production and import company - one of the largest on the East Coast.


About the production plant:

Manufacturing of ready to eat meals and meat cuts, charcuteries, cured meats, ham, sausages, Pâtés, Mousses & Foie Gras, and many other types of ready-to-eat meals (French, International, Vegetarian).

It is a great opportunity for someone who is career-driven and who wants to move into a management-level role.


Duties:


  • Oversee operations the daytoday operations of food processing industries to ensure optimal product quality.
  • Direct and supervise the activities of food production staff.
  • Set and implement standards, procedures, and processes for the manufacture of highquality food products.
  • Follow alreadymade menu items and recipes for a variety of food products.
  • Oversee the hiring, orientation, and training of technical and nontechnical food manufacturing personnel.
  • Motivate and supervise the work crew to ensure daily production targets are achieved.
  • Liaise with the quality department to monitor the various aspects of food processing to ensure the final product meets set specifications.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports to update company management on food production operations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials and processed food products.
  • Inspect food production equipment to ensure they are operational and in good working order for food processing.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external food production regulations USDA and legislation.

Requirements:


  • Meat experience USA is required.
  • Experienced with working with USDA food regulations required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in supervising a food manufacturing plant.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of USDA food regulations is required.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Be able to be handson and contribute to overall operations if needed.
  • Strong time management skills to achieve production targets

Minimum Years of EXP:


5+

Pay:
$80, $110,000.00 per year

Food Manufacturing: 5 years (preferred)
