    Description

    Position Summary:

    As a Test Lab Engineer at Revelyst - Adventure Sports Pillar, you will support multiple engineering design and development teams by participating in a full range of test lab activities. You will design test stands and fixtures, build new test equipment, develop test methods & SOP's, perform and document tests, operate 3D printers, and provide input or feedback on product designs.

    This position reports to the Test Lab Manager and is a hybrid position working 2 days from home and 3 days from our Corporate Headquarters in Irvine, CA.

    Essential Functions of this Role:

    • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the test lab and test equipment.
    • Coordinate wear test activity across all brands and categories.
    • Maintain inventory of consumable supplies and equipment in the lab.
    • Plan, schedule, and perform routine maintenance on test and manufacturing equipment.
    • Maintain test equipment calibrations, ensure they are accurate and up to date.
    • Train new engineers, designers, and technicians on test equipment & procedures.
    • Stay up to date on test standards – CE, CPSC, DOT, ASTM, etc.
    • Work to existing test standards or procedures.
    • Conduct testing to support hardgoods and softgoods product development.
    • Support 3D printing operations for all Vista Brands and perform limited CAD modifications to files for manufacturing.
    • Train new engineers, designers, and technicians on 3D printing equipment & resources.
    • Stay up to date on new additive manufacturing technology.
    • Design and build new test stands and fixtures.

    Work Environment:

    • This job operates in a lab environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as lightweight machinery and testing equipment.

    Physical Demands:

    • May be required to work more than 8 hours during a workday
    • Sitting for long periods of time
    • Ability to lift to 25 lbs.
    • Significant manual dexterity for keying in data for long periods of time
    • Exposure to outside elements (track, roof, parking lot, etc.)

    Required Education, Experience and Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineer or related field or equivalent experience.
    • Excellent Documentation skills & experience developing processes & Procedures.
    • Experience in a lab testing environment working with mechanical testing equipment.
    • Outstanding verbal and written, computer & communication skills: Outlook, Excel, Word, and related software applications.
    • Proven problem resolution capabilities, ability to work in high stress, multiple task environment.
    • General knowledge of lease negotiations, abstracts, vendor negotiations.
    • Ability to be flexible, adapt to changing circumstances and to take a solution-focused approach to situations.
    • Experience with bike, snow, and moto helmet impact testing equipment.
    • Experience with additive manufacturing.

    Pay Range:

    $69, $104,500.00

    The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
