JOB OVERVIEW:

The Senior Financial Analyst – Cost of Goods will support all brands within the Specialty Restaurant Group. The Senior Financial Analyst's purpose is to perform routine to highly complex financial analysis to support business initiatives according to established procedures, departmental guidelines, and regulatory requirements applicable to the work. Additionally, the role will analyze and report business performance in an accurate and objective manner.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Leads operations cost efficiencies as month end point of contact for Food & Beverage waste questions/adjustments from operators then works with VP Executive Chef to identify areas of focus for reduced waste

-Liaison for culinary, finance, menu systems, supply chain, & product planning to ensure new menu items and batched recipe ingredients are accurately costed and are accurately tied to recipes in both menu system & recipe books

-Ensures accuracy of all theoretical costs, yields, and production timing for culinary systems

-Analyzes recipes, ingredients in brands pantry and overall product breadth to provide recommendations for better cross utilization of products to generate cost & execution efficiencies

-Compiles and analyzes data related to key performance indicators for Finance, Ops Excellence, Operations leadership, and Executive -Chef to provide go/no recommendations for culinary and service operations rollouts, pilots and tests

-Assists Ops Excellence team with operations trouble shooting and resolutions for service and culinary systems in all restaurants for opportunities that have been identified

-Liaison between IT, advanced analytics team, and third party vendors to collect information to ensure all materials are accurate for all new system rollouts and ongoing enhancements for all SRG brands

-Provides follow up with culinary & service systems vendors for Ops Excellence team as needed

-Builds cross-functional relationships within the brand, support center departments and Operations

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

-3+ years of experience with progressing responsibility in moderate to highly complex financial analysis and reporting function

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Proficiency is MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

-Expert knowledge of restaurant operations systems

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

-Bachelor's degree in business, finance, operations management, or related field experience 2+ years in service operations

OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

-Excellent analysis, problem solving and decision making skills

-Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels in the organization

-Detail-oriented and extremely organized, with proven ability to establish priorities and achieve results

-Strong customer/client service orientation

-Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision

-Ability to anticipate needs and potential issues before they occur

-Ability to think creatively; seeks innovative solutions and use change as a positive and motivating factor

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

-Restaurant Management experience, or finance background within the industry

-Knowledge of statistics, corporate finance, and/or accounting

-Knowledge of HFM, Oracle, MicroStrategy BI, OneStream, or similar financial systems

-Knowledge of analytical tools and/or automation: Alteryx, R, Robotic Process Automation, advanced Excel (Power Query, VBA)
