- Develop, apply, and maintain quality requirements and standards for development and manufacturing products in a Lean Environment.
- Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
- Develop, execute, and analyze quality-reporting measures such as FPY, FTQ, PPM
- Assist in process certification and validation.
- Review customers purchase orders, contracts and change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans.
- Review suppliers purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements.
- Lead internal and external quality audits including, but not limited to IATF, ISO, FEMR, for ISO 9000 compliance.
- Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
- Compile, write and deliver training material on quality standards and activities.
- Report to management on quality issues, trends, and losses.
- Knowledge and ability to learn use of test equipment including AOI, SPI, Vision systems, CMM.
- Broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, TPS, A3, APQP, PPAP and 8D process.
- Understanding of IPC standards for Electronic Manufacturing
- Diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques, and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong computer skills including QA applications, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Skill in dealing with customers and suppliers.
- Associate degree in mechanical, electrical or manufacturing Engineering with a combination of work experience &/ Quality Certification (ASQ)
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Quality Assurance in a Lean Manufacturing environment
