- Performs all duties pertaining to the usage and operation of a variety of farming equipment, including cleaning, setup, and operation. Equipment includes agricultural tractors, skid-loaders, combines, mowers, and other equipment used for seed production.
- Cleans, prepares and operates combines and other harvest equipment.
- Assists with the fabrication and modification of equipment.
- Assists with both mechanical and hand field work, which includes planting, spraying, weed control, harvesting, prescribed burning, and seed cleaning.
- Completes documentation of maintenance and other work activities as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Several years agricultural experience preferred, which includes farm equipment operation and maintenance.
- Able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Must be mechanically inclined, this position often requires creative modifying of equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills preferred.

- Experience with herbicide handling and application preferred
- Must be able to lift up and carry to 50 lbs.
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, reach and move as needed in order to complete various agricultural/seed production duties.
- Prolonged periods of time standing.
- Able to work long hours, including early mornings, late evenings and occasional weekends; work hours may vary depending on season.
- Must be able to work in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and extreme cold.
