We are looking for a Head of Grinding Systems (m/f/d/x) to join our team at our location in East Palo Alto, CA.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the "Grinding Systems" department, including the technical center (disciplinary management of > 20 employees)
  • Responsibility for process engineering, layout and installation standards, mechanical design of KHD's own equipment, product management, research and development, commissioning and optimization, technical center
  • Cost center responsibility, budget and investment planning
  • Capacity planning and management of internal and external personnel
  • Global consultation of CSCs regarding standards and design, as well as technical coordination and clarification of planning standards
  • Further development and elaboration of process, machinery and plant design principles
  • Determination of process concepts for new plants, modernizations and performance improvements
  • Development and implementation of R&D topics, studies and concepts, as well as support in processing
  • Evaluation of new technologies, processes and procedures
  • Commissioning support
  • Design and execution of presentations/publications and training for customers and conferences
