- Leadership and management accountability regarding the operating costs to budget, safety, quality, on time delivery and the people needs of the plant (both areas including Aero and Specialty Coating)
- Participate in the development and execution of a strategic growth plan.
- Directs activities of the production leadership team, sets priorities for day to day production, and maintains appropriate staffing as needed to meet company goals.
- Responsible for shop production schedules and conducts production meetings including supervisors' meetings working closely with Customer Service and Account Managers.
- Ensures customers' needs are appropriately met by shipping to schedule with minimum turnaround time and a high degree of quality.
- Responsible for enforcing company handbook and communicates with Office Manager and/or Human Resources on people needs.
- Responsible for ensuring the safe operation of equipment, safe work habits of the employees and administering the safety program within the guidelines established by the company.
- Ensure both state and federal environmental regulatory requirements are maintained along with maintaining the Environmental Management System
- Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.
- As a Senior member of the Site Leadership Team, takes an active and leading role in implementing and promoting the site 6S initiatives, taking full ownership of his/her area(s) of responsibility and driving compliance to established standards.
- This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements. Therefore, candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent resident cardholders.
- Education - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience with advanced training in operations, management skills, finance, metallurgy, thermal spray, quality, safety, and environmental management.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with thermal spray, or other aerospace processes to ensure success in role.
- Experience in Change Management, driving operational performance through data driven metrics.
- Ability to function as an effective team member through good communication and cooperation to meet plant goals.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; Must have excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritize work flow.
- Ability to guide, lead and direct employee relation activities and communication meetings on all shifts.
- Must be effective in promoting and maintaining positive employee relations with basic understanding of employment practices in a production environment.
- Minimum of three years business management experience with two or more years in a supervisory role.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. Experience with ERP systems required.
