As the Inventory Control Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient management and optimization of our inventory.

You will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated professionals to implement and execute inventory control strategies that align with our company's goals and objectives.

You will be a strategic partner with OpCo leadership to develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.

This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of inventory management principles.


Compensation:
$90,000-100,000 annual salary + bonus opportunity


Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 6am-3pm, occasional weekends may be required based on need


Responsibilities:


  • Maintains accurate physical inventory counts on a daily basis, acts as a liaison between buyers, data processing and warehouse on all matters concerning inventory.
  • Handles all matters relating to inventory control. Solves complex problems and deal with a variety of inventory control situations where mínimal standardization exists.
  • Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
  • Supervises associates to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
  • Interpret and analyze numerical data and perform a basic level of inventory control analysis, handle stock adjustments and perform inventory and cycle counts.
  • Manage an acceptable level of inventory in a costeffective manner.
  • Communicate with customers, vendors and company personnel in a positive and proactive manner. Monitor and follow up on product complaints.
  • Analyze inventory issues and information and take any necessary action to include but not limited to: maintain surveillance if possible.
  • Reviews stock status reports, coordinates with inventory staff to ensure accurate counts of inventory are available and sufficient to meet customers' needs, and communicates about low stock items, seasonal swings and customer promotions.
  • Ensures building and equipment are maintained through supervising personnel in maintenance and repair activities.
  • Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, standardized operating procedures and ensures all department staff do the same.
  • Managing inventory on dated food products to ensure sales align with inventory needs and shipments received.
  • Manage to an established operations shrink budget, plans for future growth, and implements changes as needed to accommodate business needs.
  • Work with the Inventory Control department, Day Warehouse Manager and Sales on short dated products to ensure we sell before scrapping.
  • Daily, weekly, monthly reporting to assist with product shelf life, product replenishment needs, returns and liquidation.
  • Ensures that all products are stored within applicable food safety guidelines and meet all requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.

3-5 years of management experience with inventory/shrink management.

Experience in Purchasing, data processing and warehouse procedures; basic knowledge of inventory reports.


Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Basic knowledge of inventory reports within foodservice industry.
