    Under the direction of the Executive Director of Enrollment Management, the Director of Dual Enrollment is the administrative lead of the dual enrollment program at Southwestern Michigan College.

    This position will develop the program's strategy initiatives to sustain and expand dual credit partnerships in Cass and Berrien Counties.

    The Director of Dual Enrollment must have a thorough understanding of current academic programs and future opportunities; be flexible, visionary, creative, energetic and possess a demonstrated capacity to lead.

    In addition, the director will serve as the primary Niles Campus administrator.

    This position will be primarily located on the Niles campus, but will travel throughout Cass and Berrien counties to build high school partnerships.

    Required Qualifications
    Bachelor's Degree
    5 years of experience working in dual enrollment, admissions, academic advising, or other related areas.
    Current driver's license with acceptable driving record
    Strong communication, problem-solving, technical, and organizational skills
    Ability to present benefits of dual enrollment programs to groups, families, and students
    Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
    Experience working with students 1:1 and in small groups
    Ability to develop, initiate, and participate in educational student programming
    Preferred Qualifications

    Master's Degree
    Previous supervisory experience
    Previous experience working with dual enrollment,

    CTE , and early/middle college programs

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


    Directs overall management and operations of SMCs dual enrollment program, including supervision of dual enrollment staff and meeting dual enrollment program goals.

    Maintain a cohort of dual enrollment students for registration, advising, and student success needs
    Facilitate external partnerships to maintain and grow dual enrollment program
    Oversee marketing and communication plan for dual enrollment populations in order to strengthen communications and reach into the communities of Cass and Berrien counties
    Work closely with current and developing partners from area high schools, homeschool associations, and intermediate school districts to support and emphasize dual enrollment programs and early college options
    Serve as building manager for all aspects of maintenance, safety, and security of the Niles Campus.

    Work with internal constituents to develop and implement the Niles class schedule for each semester with a focus on students' needs and forward growth of the college, especially focused on ensuring courses for dual enrolled students.

    Manage budget and all expenditures for dual enrollment program
    Coordinates with records office to effectively register all dual enrollment students
    Provide ongoing customer service for students, parents, and partnering schools
    Assist with professional development sessions for dual enrollment staff
    Travel to partnering schools to facilitate student advising sessions for continuous enrollment of dual enrollment students and to present honor cords at high school awards ceremonies
    Participate as active member of the dual enrollment team with day to day operations
    Facilitate and participate in professional staff recruitment, selection, and training
    Serve as a liaison between departments for course scheduling, curriculum, conflict resolution and other resources needed for program success.
    Supervise staff in educational programming initiatives
    Coordinate various summer projects
    Serve on College committees as assigned
