Description
We are currently seeking a Senior Electronic Technician for our office in Orlando, Florida who will be responsible for testing, calibrating and assembling mechanical and electrical products using a variety of tools and equipment according to requirement specifications in a manufacturing organization.

- Perform electronic calibration of power supplies, radiometers and associated equipment in support of production.
- Perform repair and troubleshooting of products and equipment down to component level.
- Read and interpret documents, such as Schematics, Factory Test Procedures (FTP) and BOM's, Technical Procedures, Safety Rules, Operating and Maintenance Instructions, Assembly and Disassembly Instructions.
- Support the creation and maintenance of all associated calibration records and documentation.
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
- Prepare routine reports and correspondence.
- Revise and create written procedures and instructions as required.
- Provide electronic support to engineering for design and development testing.
- Follow all company Safety Policies and Quality Guidelines.
- Work effectively as a team member.
- Associate in Science Degree, or more, in Electrical Engineering Technology with 5+ years minimum related experience
- Experience with bench top lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, power meters, signal generators, frequency counters), soldering iron and rework stations, throughhole and surface mount
- 5+ years mechanical and electrical assembly experience
- Both analog and digital, knowledge required
- Experience with Mini Factories and the Kanban system or willingness to learn
- Experience with Asana, Confluence and Jira, or willingness to learn
Bonus Experience
- Spectroradiometry / spectroscopy / photonicsbased instrumentation experience.
- Experience working in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited environment a plus.
- Ultralowlevel analog knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to write simple test and control programs in C, C++, Python, LabView or Xojo.
- Experience in a commercial business environment doing component level testing, debugging and diagnostics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea.
- Must have good electrical aptitude to assemble, solder, crimp, troubleshoot, repair, etc.
- Must have good mechanical aptitude, and ability to troubleshoot production assembly issues.
- Proven ability to use applicable test equipment (scopes, frequency generators, multimeters, etc.)
- Fit, align, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating specifications.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects with mínimal supervision.
- Must show aptitude for learning detailed procedures.
