- Conducting archival research
- Prepare historic context, applying National Register criteria.
- Prepare architectural history components of NHPA and CEQA technical reports
- Document Architectural resources on California DPR 523 records and History American Building Survey (HABS) / Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) / Historic American Landscape Survey (HALS), and other duties as assigned
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Knowledge of GIS and basic understanding of cultural resources mapping and date collection
- Previous field experience
- Travel within Northern California as required
- Master of Arts (evidence of completion or nearly completed) in Historic Preservation, Public History, Architecture, Architectural History or closely related
- 1-2 years of experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite

Job DescriptionWe have an immediate opportunity for a full-time architectural historian in the Northern California area. This position will require fieldwork.
