    Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Designer $45-$60 per hour

    Downers Grove, IL

    Full Time; Contract

    No sponsorship is available for this role. US Citizenship, Green Card or TN Visa is needed.

    Responsibilities:

    » Has knowledge of or can quickly become knowledgeable in company's Electrical and Instrumentation specifications for design work.

    » Learn and work within company's system for completing MOC action items assigned to them.

    » Perform field walkdowns if needed for layout, reviews, and verifications for design work, which could involve climbing ladders and stairways.

    » Become familiar with & adhere to company's Safe Practice Standards & Corporate Safety Standards.

    » Create field sketches for upfront engineering activities and convert those to AutoCAD files when released to do so by the Engineer and modify and update existing refinery drawings as required to fulfill project needs.

    Qualifications:

    » Previous Experience from Whiting Refinery, Robinson Refinery, Canton Refinery, Detroit Refinery, Marathon Petroleum, ExxonMobil, Phillips 66, Noil Petroleum, or BP is Highly Desired

    » Minimum 5 years of experience in design & drafting in a refinery, or equivalent setting. Ideally at a client's site or good experience in an industrial setting.

    » Proficient in the use of AutoCAD 2019

    » Ability to go outdoors in the refinery & wear PPE consisting of Fire-Resistant Clothing, hard hat, safety glasses, safety toe boots with a defined heal, and ear plugs as part of company's minimum PPE Requirements.

    » Ability to modify & update refinery drawings including:


    •Instrument Loop Drawings (includes creating/updating the following)

    oTerminal cabinet drawings

    oDCS drawings – Delta V hardware

    oEnd device knowledge


    •Instrument location plans


    •Motor schematics – including understanding the logic in the control circuit


    •Power Plans & details


    •Grounding Plans & details


    •Lighting Plans & details


    •Panel schedules


    •Electric Trace Isometrics


    •Conduit and cable schedules


    •Electrical single lines


    •Area Classification drawings

    » The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration.     » Full Time; typical schedule 8am-5pm
