    The Stewardship Specialist is an integral part of the Office of Charitable Giving and has direct impact on the overall fundraising and communication goals. This individual will support the department in all functions and manage any inquiry requests relating to charitable giving and communications.

    A Typical Day:

    • Maintain files, Annual Appeal, Generous Spirit events, purchases, contracts, check request/payment forms,
    • Annuities, etc.
    • Responsible for database management: data and gift entry in Virtuous, monies given to Finance office, committee lists, and preparation of correspondence.
    • Process purchase orders
    • Create purchase orders, pledge reports, and resident account charges.
    • Maintain process procedures for charitable gifts and utilizing the Virtuous Donor Software.
    • Work with the Vice President of Charitable Giving and Communications and the President/CEO to
    • schedule donor meetings, follow-up needs, and additional opportunities to grow donor development.
    • Assist in the development and execution of publications/mailings.
    • Maintain professional appearance and conduct exhibiting a respectful and courteous demeanor at all times.
    • Participate in educational and departmental opportunities.

    What We Look For In a Candidate:

    • A minimum of Associate Degree in related field; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
    • 2-3 years relative business experience.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written.
    • Ability to read and comprehend numbers and written material.
    • Interpersonal skills are necessary for exchanging information as well as maintaining a courteous relationship
    • with the residents, families, visitors and Bishop Gadsden employees.
    • Extensive knowledge and experience with daily computer systems input, specifically in Microsoft Office
    • systems with concentration on Word and Excel, including mail merges and letters.
    • Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks simultaneously.
    • Time management skills including an understanding and ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
    • as needed.
    • Possess good judgment in working with residents and fellow staff.
