- Produce high quality/detail cliffs, rocks, plants and terrain 3D assets according to design specs, technical requirements and 3D best practices.
- Research and create pipelines and solutions for highly detailed 1st person AAA terrain (heightmaps, static meshes, substance materials, etc.)
- Create semi stylized textures using Substance Painter and Substance Designer.
- Coordinate with games team and art director to ensure project visual and technical standards.
- Complete 3D art on schedule with project milestones.
- 5+ Years professional experience making 3D assets for games, as displayed in visual portfolio.
- Experience with terrain creation software and solutions, including implementation into Unreal Engine.
- Proficient with standard industry tools such as: Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter/Designer.
- Strong grasp of materials, color, form, and composition.
- Experience working in a PBR asset creation pipeline.
- Well developed communication, teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Degree or certification in 3D art, digital art, or related discipline.
- Experience working on a game created in Unreal Engine.
- Experience with/creating Unreal Engine Blueprints.
- Experience working with remote team members.
- Drawing/ concept art skills.

Job DescriptionSalary:We are currently seeking an experienced full-time, Senior 3D Environment and Terrain Artist, to collaborate with our existing team on assets for an upcoming game title. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical mindset, a good artistic eye, and know when to push either discipline to achieve the best results.
The artist should be confident in regards to their own skill set, self-reliant when needed, and comfortable with a technical pipeline involving different tools. Overall, this candidate must be passionate about contributing to the creation of video game experiences beyond simply creating assets. This is a salaried, full-time position reporting to our Plymouth, Michigan studio. This position is open to remote and hybrid applicants.
