National Human Resources Director based in our
Huntington Beach, CA office. _
This role is full-time, in-office only._

The National Human Resources Director reports to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and plays a pivotal role in providing HR support to our regional and national team members employees nation-wide).

This position helps support areas of the HR functions related to workforce planning, performance, talent management, employee relations, policy compliance and other areas of HR.

This role also helps support key HR projects and initiatives, demonstrating expertise in HR disciplines and competencies.


General Responsibilities

  • This position works in conjunction with the SVP of HR and other HR partners to streamline HR policies and processes across the organization.
  • Oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, employee relations, disputes and investigations, performance management, talent development, talent acquisition, recognition, engagement, and the overall employee experience.
  • Works closely and collaborates with other HR partners on key HR projects and initiatives including process workflows, workforce planning, compensation and rewards, employee recognition programs, promotion of ESOP and HCM/systems implementation.
  • Coach, develop and grow HR Team Members to deliver best practices for hiring, retention and talent management.
  • Works with Talent Aqcuisition team in identifying strategies to attract, develop and retain talent and increase employer branding.
  • Facilitates training related to performance management, coaching, HR policies, wage, and hour other legal employment compliance workshops / webinars.
  • Coach business leaders on the appropriate tools and resources for team development, coaching and training.
  • Oversees the performance management process, reviews documentation for accuracy, consistency and checks for supportive documentation and determining appropriate action.
  • Assists with complex employee relations issues, including investigations.
  • Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices. Review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance. Perform regular audits as necessary.
  • Prepares and analyzes reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department related to turnover trends, performance, and other HR related information.
  • Monitors and provides updates on performance appraisal process.
  • Represents the HR department at regional/department meetings as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Thorough knowledge of employmentrelated laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn HR technology platforms such as (iCIMs, Workday, Dayforce, Halogen)
  • Proven experience as an HR leader or director in a fastpaced organization
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train and use effective communication, active listening, and motivational techniques for team development.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with other HR functions and departments, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and adaptability in various project environments.

Education and Experience

  • BA/BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent years of HR experience.
  • 8+ years of Human Resources experience.
  • Experience in a Corporate HR management role supporting over 800+ employees and multistate experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of California, Washington and multistate employment laws.
