Position Summary
Responsible for the identification, development, and implementation of technical training needs within the manufacturing plant.

The incumbent must be able to develop and conduct training required for new and existing employees and contractors with respect to general compliance, work methods, procedures, and task related activities.

Will be required to perform ongoing assessment of current curricula for appropriateness of training type and content. Will be required to facilitate plant wide programs such as new employee orientation. Responsible for the site technical training with an emphasis of the manufacturing areas.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop technical and procedural training programs to ensure site employees possess skills necessary to effectively perform job duties and support facility.
  • Work with departments to ensure training records are up to date and compliant with regulations.
  • Assist and facilitate the development of department training modules using proven training techniques that are effective, complete, and compliant.
  • Liaison to departments to determine specific training needs on technical and procedural training.
  • Report training status metrics, as required.
  • Review and or develop proficiency / qualification testing of key facets for the site.
  • Assist in creating curriculum and specific trainings, specifically developing the plan for instruction, lesson plans, needed and teaching strategies.
  • Conduct training courses, deliver any certification/qualification courses, assist with training of internal employees.
  • Help to determine overall effectiveness of programs and make suggestions for improvements.
  • Follow organization standards and legal regulations to ensure safe and healthy training environment.

Knowledge & Skills

  • 57 years of experience in a controlled industry, pharmaceutical, medical devices, aerospace or nuclear preferred. Minimum of 5 years of training experience is preferred.
  • A proven record developing and implementing training materials with proficiency measurements. Experience with Adult Learning theory, styles, and methodologies. Experience with training software is preferred.
  • Must be multitask oriented and organized to work within numerous systems and programs. Regulatory inspection experience discussing training is preferred.
  • Specific skills of Public Speaking/ Facilitation, and situational leadership are preferred.

Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Technical training certification required.
  • Minimum five years of industry experience with demonstrable and progressive experience in technical training and curriculum development.
  • Excellent proficiency with M/S Suite, especially Power Point.
  • Able to thrive in fastpaced, interrupt driven environment.

Work Environment

  • This is largely a sedentary role.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
  • Must be able to wear all safety equipment.
  • May have extended periods of time on floor walking around to perform job duty observations.
  • May require occasional lifting; must be able to lift maximum 20 lbs. unassisted.
  • Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time
