Hours:
Full Time, Monday-Friday, 35 hours/week

Clearbrook is a non-profit, social services agency that specializes in providing innovative tools, services, and opportunities to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as Autism and Down Syndrome.
The Training Specialist is responsible for the provision of training to Clearbrook staff and a variety of tasks that provide support to the Staff Training Department.
The Training Specialist will primarily be supporting our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) so that they remain compliant on training requirements and have an excellent training and orientation experience.
As needed, this person will also develop and facilitate new organization-wide training opportunities.Essential Functions:
Training Facilitation (60%):
- Planning, coordinating, and facilitating on-site and offsite training opportunities.
- Obtaining and maintaining designated instructor certificates (QBS Safety Care, American Heart Association and DHS Course Coordinator), CEUs, and required training.
- In conjunction with the Director, developing, revising, and updating training curricula.
- Responsible for successfully implementing the PHI coaching approach as well as utilize PHI techniques when communicating with staff.
- Scheduling and set-up of training areas.
Administration (40%):
- Utilizing data and reports to ensure training compliance and employee satisfaction.
- Support staff with any training related questions or concerns, providing excellent customer service (i.e. off-site training registration.
- Assisting employees in staying up-to-date on their trainings.
- Provide support to the Director of Training by providing billable records in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Minimum (preferred): Bachelor's Degree in Human Service or related field
Experience:
Minimum:
- At least 1 year of related experience in training/teaching
- Working knowledge of all applicable state rules and regulations governing training that impact agency programs and policies
Preferred:
- Previous teaching/training experience with Adult Education
- Experience working as/with Direct Support Professionals (DSPs
Skills:
- Microsoft Office proficient, organized, great customer service,
- Comfortable speaking in front of large groups, engaging.
Physical Demands:
- Involves extended periods in a stationary position.
