How you will make an impact as a Healthcare Data/Business Intelligence Analyst:

  • Participate in designing, implementing, and supporting relational databases.
  • Create, update, and distribute analytic reports on a recurring basis, as well as identify and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Perform quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis and share results with internal and external customers.
  • Utilize SQL or other advanced analytic tools to perform data extract and query functions; use SQL to develop reports in Power BI, SSRS, and DAX.
  • Gather and understand business requirements for data visualization and analysis and utilize Power BI to build interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports.
  • Develop, collect, and document business requirements for reporting and analysis initiatives with internal and external customers.
  • Clean and load data into databases and assist with database maintenance and SQL tuning.
  • Build automation in Azure.
  • Build integrations to extract data from systems.
  • Design database tables and indexing model.
  • Analyze and provide audit and summaries of trends and variances.
  • Develop strong data documentation about algorithms, parameters, models and relationships.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Power BI reports and provide training and support to end users on using Power BI.

What we're looking for in a
Healthcare Data/Business Intelligence Analyst:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Healthcare Administration, IT or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in data analytics and data modeling.
  • Experience working with health care data in queries.
  • Proficiency in Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation. Power BI certifications are a plus.
  • MS Excel advanced ability (pivot tables, formatting, graphics) required.
  • Experience with SQL, SAS, DAX, Python, SPSS, Minitab or other analytic tools for data management and informatics preferred.
  • Analytical thinking for converting data into relevant reports and graphics.
  • Intellectual curiosity around finding the "why" and digging deep to find patterns others might miss.
  • Report findings in writing.
  • Ability to extract data using APIs.
