Your Responsibilities
As a Climate Protection and Sustainability Manager, you are an expert in climate protection and sustainability concepts. You work collaboratively with departments to develop and implement a climate protection and sustainability concept for the EDG corporate group.
Your tasks include, in particular, the following focal points, which you will independently and proactively manage:
Development and coordination of sustainable strategies and measures to reduce the company's carbon footprint and achieve climate neutrality for EDG Creation and further development of an integrated climate protection and sustainability concept, including a mission statement, with the goal of deriving measures with significant energy and greenhouse gas savings potential (e.g. mobility concept) Participation in the design and implementation of a comprehensive sustainability strategy with a focus on energy efficiency, climate and environmental protection (e.g. water use, waste, wastewater, and emissions) in cooperation with departments Setting target values for the developed measures and supporting departments in their implementation in collaboration with the Energy and Resource Manager Development of tools for establishing a reporting and monitoring system, as well as reporting in coordination with Controlling Balancing the energy consumption of all operating locations and other relevant vehicles and machinery, work and operating materials, and relevant consumables, followed by a potential analysis Preparation and documentation of company balances for
