- Coding pricing model enhancements and supporting Individual Case pricing initiatives.
- Developing data and analytics work related to assumptions.
- Collaborating with various business partners and communicating financial results to senior leadership and key partners across the Principal enterprise.
- Assisting in various product initiatives and enhancements.
- Bachelor's degree in math, actuarial science, finance, analytics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably in pricing or coding.
- A solid understanding of actuarial concepts, including life contingencies and interest theory.
- Proficiency in R programming language (or similar, e.g., Python, with the ability to quickly grasp R).
- Self-motivated with exceptional problem-solving, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills are essential.
- Demonstrated ability to embrace and navigate through change effectively.
- Proficiency in Excel and VBA is a must.
- Knowledge of Defined Benefit plans/valuation or PRT pricing (or similar products) is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with SQL/Relational Databases and SAS programming is preferred.
- Experience with AWS is a plus.
