We are looking for a bright, articulate, and ambitious Front Desk Treatment Coordinator for a successful wellness-oriented dental practice on the Upper West Side.

The position:
Our Front Desk Treatment Coordinators are the first point of contact patients have with our practice.
As first impressions are lasting impressions, it's vital that all patient interactions be energetic, exude positivity, and thoughtfully represent our practice.
The Front Desk Team Member is a professional, organized, reliable, team player who has a vital role in our practice.
You'll be responsible for ensuring patients feel welcome and safe at the office, presenting treatment, explaining financial options, calculating co-payments, and following up.
Here's an example of what a Front Desk Treatment Coordinator might do in a day:
- Greet new patients and walk them through the registration paperwork if they haven't already completed it online
- Educate patients about the details of their treatment plan and associated fees after the dentist has diagnosed and reviewed their options
- Help patients understand their dental insurance benefits. Accurately calculate how much insurance will help with the cost of needed care. Communicate and collect the estimated patient copay amount
- Work with outside patient care financing companies to give our patients a wide range of financial options
- Verify patient insurance eligibility prior to appointments
- Collaborate with our financial team to address and collect patient balances
- Give nervous patients pep talks and congratulate them for calling or coming in
- Correctly schedule future appointments for patients checkingout to ensure doctors and hygienists are busy and productive
- Answer treatment questions patients have both before and after their visit
- Help with daytoday tasks like tidying/sanitizing the reception area and stocking patient amenities
- Ask a happy patient to share their feedback online in a review, or refer a friend to the office if they know anyone looking for a new dental home
- Submit and follow up on preapprovals
- Verify and submit insurance claims
- Generate and review reports
- Monitor treatment plans and case acceptance
We're looking for someone who has:
- Dental experience
- Flexibility in regards to scheduling. Our office is open 7 days a week, including early morning, late evenings, and holidays. Successful applicants will able to work weekends and holidays
- Experience providing exceptional hospitalityinspired customer service in a fastpaced office
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to calculate percentages accurately and quickly using basic math skills
- A positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude
- Outstanding teamwork skills and the ability work with a diverse group of people
