The Challenge

We are looking for an experienced Surveying Technician to join our Wilmington Resident Engineering team.

In this role, you will:

⦁ Perform survey work on complex construction projects.

⦁ Supervise survey crews and junior technicians.

⦁ Make independent decisions.

⦁ Communicate effectively with co-workers, contractors, and the public.

⦁ Review contractor survey submittals and provide checks of their construction layouts in the field.

What You Bring

⦁ Surveying experience using surveying equipment, instruments, levels, data collectors, and GPS equipment.

⦁ Solid math skills using with math functions including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.

⦁ Experience performing highway construction stakeouts.

⦁ Experience conducting independent, moderately complex surveying.

⦁ Computer skills using Microsoft Office and drafting software.

⦁ Ability to read, interpret, and explain construction plans, contract provisions, and specification/inspection procedures.

⦁ Safety toe shoes.

Education & Experience

⦁ Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or a related field, and

⦁ 7+ years relevant technician-level experience; or

⦁ An equivalent combination of training and experience.

Note

⦁ You will be exposed to outside environmental hazards, confined areas, and may be required to work at night and on weekends.
