Description
We are looking for a dog trainer in Old Town, ME for our mixed breed dog who has been selected and trained for herding. She has been living with us since she was 4 months old. Initially, she lived on our property with other dogs in neighboring properties and was taken care of by our daughter, who did not set any boundaries for her. When she was 2 and a half years old, after we retired, we took her traveling in a motorhome. She is happy living this way, but she is very jealous and will bite any dog she encounters, if she feels like it. Sometimes, she will play with other dogs for a while. She seeks attention from us and other owners, but she does not allow us to pet other dogs, or even let them come near us. She constantly monitors our grandchildren, causing her a lot of anxiety. Other than that, she likes to be in control of everyone, making sure we are following her. It is difficult to walk her in the city, as she does not stay by our side.
