    Description

    The Plant Manager will be responsible for all aspects of daily plant operations of to- be-specified renewable operating assets in North and South America. The chief priority will be ensuring the team's safety while concurrently focusing on maximizing performance and profitability per the operational framework. This will necessitate devising and executing strategies to elevate maintenance practices, diagnostic capabilities, and overall operational efficiency, resulting in heightened customer satisfaction and reduced service expenditures.

    Responsibilities

    • Establishing the ongoing schedules for site maintenance, repairs, and contractual obligations for the projects (turbines, infrastructure, etc.).
    • Manage appropriate use and care of company or project owned vehicles, tools, and equipment.
    • Manage and supervise all personnel and activities at the projects as necessary to ensure adherence to safety and corporate policies and procedures.
    • Manage the inventory storage, use, and maintenance of the projects.
    • Driving efforts to minimize curtailment risk while seeking opportunities to mitigate or eliminate such risks for the projects.
    • Support of the Operations and Asset Management (OAM) group to drive fleet wide optimization and performance of projects.
    • Support the OAM group in project related reporting to EEA, EEH, Lenders, and Equity investors and partners. This will include daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as required.
    • Support the OAM group in the management of the ongoing landowner relationships, issues, and communications.
    • Support the OAM group in any permit or environmental reporting or interactions with related appropriate agencies.
    • Interfaces with landowners, utilities, regulatory agencies, and local government and community representatives.
    • Assure compliance with regulatory and environmental compliance matters pertaining to the projects. This includes site information, procedures, and all site inspection activities.
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 3-5 years management and/or leadership experience, preferably in the area of operations and/or asset management within the wind industry.
    • High voltage switching and substation inspection and maintenance, which includes power distribution systems and networks and/or experience working with electric distribution network model.
    • Fluent in English. Ability to speak before groups of employees or other guests of the projects (e.g., lenders, investors, suppliers, etc.). Verbal and formal written communication skills shall be top level with ability to convey complex business topics to a wide-ranging audience.
    • Well versed in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) applications.
    • Valid driver's license, passport, and ability to travel as needed to meet business needs.
    • Weekend work and on-call will be necessary. Regular workday is Mon-Fri, with weekend work if required and 24/7 on call for substation outages or turbine related issues.

    • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
    • Hearing ability to use telephones, close range radios or related device.
    • Visual acuity including depth perception, field of vision and the ability to distinguish between colors.
    • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as needed, as well as hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
    • Ability to climb stairs & vertical ladders to heights of 60 to 100 meters and at times supervise work in confined space environments.
    • Ability to lift, push, pull, carry items up to, but not more than 50 lbs. in weight.
    • Ability to observe training and obtain certification in required safety programs that include LOTO, Electrical, Fall Arrest & High Angle Emergency Decent, and Confined Space.
    • Ability to successfully participate in all training courses, including controlled decent practical exercises.
    • Due to safety parameters of fall protection equipment, the total weight of individual and required PPE and gear shall weigh 300 lbs. or less while being worn. Required PPE and gear can weigh up to 40 lbs. Must be able to climb multiple wind turbine towers (up to 300 ft. tall) on a daily basis in any weather conditions (as deemed safe to do so).
