    Default job background
    Description

Pacific Northwest Family Law is seeking an Attorney to join our family law practice. We are looking for attorneys who are "high accountables," that is, people who demand high performance from themselves and expect to be compensated fairly for that performance. We are looking for leaders for our growing firm.

We help our clients become "family heroes." When clients come to us they have significant problems in their families. Their families are broken and their family members are suffering. Our approach to family law is to help our clients solve those problems so that our clients and our clients' family members can have better, more fulfilling lives, making them "family heroes."

As an Attorney at Pacific Northwest Family Law you will have the rewarding opportunity to create family heroes by directing your own cases. Further, our attorneys do not have to worry about finding clients (although we pay you more if you do). We have clients. We need highly accountable and resourceful attorneys.

We support our attorneys with weekly meetings, provide resources like the WSBA desk-books, and have an active private chat group where our attorneys are often seen asking questions and giving advice and support to their fellow team members.

If you have never practiced family law before, you are in the same shoes many of our attorneys were in when they came to us. If you have courtroom experience, know how to litigate, and want to help families, you'll be able to catch on quickly. As long as you are eager to learn and ask questions, you will get the help and support you need to rapidly fill the role of a trusted family law attorney.

    Compensation Plan

At Pacific Northwest Family Law, we believe that your hard work should be rewarded. That's why we've implemented a unique compensation plan that truly reflects your worth. Our compensation plan is similar to how partners are paid. You receive a percentage of the revenue you bring to the firm.

This means that the more productive you are, the more you earn. It's a simple and transparent system that directly ties your income to your effort and dedication. This program is especially beneficial for hard-working attorneys who may feel underpaid at other firms.

We require 1500 hours a year billed and collected. You can make partner at our firm hitting that number. Above 1500 yours you receive an additional percentages because we believe that if you are exceeding the minimum you deserve to be paid. With us, your income potential is in your hands.

No doubt some reading this will have the initial impression that our plan is much less secure and predictable than a traditional salary. That simply is not true. Our plan is predictable because we have plenty of clients and plenty of work. If you predictably work, you are predictably paid, and you are paid what you are worth. In a traditional salary, if you don't do the work, or if you do not work hard, you get paid but not for long. No business is going to take a loss, even if it is the business's fault that there isn't enough work. Not only is a salary not predictable, but businesses paying salaries are much more eager to downsize when times are tough. The flip-side is that a salary means you get the salary, even if you work exceptionally hard. The business gets the benefit, not you. In our plan, our most productive attorneys make the most money, and are paid at the top of the market. Even our less productive attorneys have more job security and better pay than most salaried attorneys in the area.

    Partnership and Firm Leadership Opportunities

We have a defined, objective partnership track that requires 2 years with the firm and at least 5 year's experience. If you come to us with more experience, we are willing to negotiate requirements for partnership.

We also have numerous leadership roles within the firm like managing offices and practice areas that bring additional responsibilities and rewards. We are always looking for leaders, and if you have the aptitude and the experience necessary, you will be on the fast track to leadership. You will receive instruction and direction as you lead the team to reach their potential, help make hiring decisions, and promote firm culture. Leaders are few and far between, but we will work with you if you are interested. Leadership brings with it additional compensation opportunities.

    Other Benefits

At Pacific Northwest Family Law, we understand that our employees are our greatest asset. That's why we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you and your family's health and financial well-being. Here's what you can look forward to when you join our team:
