    Overview

NRDC is a non-profit environmental advocacy organization. We use law, science, and the support of 3.1 million members and online activists to protect the planet's wildlife and wild places and to ensure the rights of all people to clean air, clean water, and healthy communities. NRDC was founded in 1970 and our people helped write some of America's bedrock environmental laws, including the Clean Water Act and many of the implementing regulations. Today, our team of more than 700 lawyers, scientists, economists, policy advocates, communications experts, and others work across the United States and the globe from our offices in Beijing; Bozeman, Montana; Chicago; New Delhi; New York; San Francisco; Santa Monica; and Washington, D.C.

    POSITION SUMMARY

Development Donor Systems is an operations team within Development at NRDC that serves as a center of operational excellence within the department. The team and each team member's specific responsibilities continue to evolve as we build out our technology platform to support the department and organization as they grow. This is an exciting time during which we can shed old processes and ways of working that are no longer serving the institution. Flexibility, adaptability, and patience will be necessary to perform successfully in this role.

Reporting directly to the Donor Onboarding Manager, the Coordinator supports the Development, Donor Systems, Donor Onboarding function. Donor Onboarding is a gift operations unit that processes contributions, emphasizing the data integrity of NRDC's Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database which facilitates a seamless reconciliation with Accounting.

This role is a cross-functional team player who collaborates with other teams, so donations are processed swiftly and accurately in our Salesforce database. The ideal candidate would be an approachable, data-oriented self-starter who likes to problem solve and has a strong ability to manage competing priorities.

    Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions:

Process gifts via various payment methods from all Development revenue sources (Action Fund, Foundations, Major Gifts, Membership, Principal Gifts) in Salesforce
    • Coordinate internal stakeholders from Development and Accounting/Finance to obtain gift information for timely processing of contributions

    • Review a variety of data integrity reports to confirm the information in our Salesforce database was entered correctly and update to maintain quality data in the system
    • Create reports to review donation data and participate in reconciliation process with Accounting/Finance
    • Adhere to established data standards and practices as well as participate in ongoing process improvement
    • Manage and track time spent on Action Fund (c4) processing

The above list of duties is not comprehensive but generally demonstrates the types of matters under this position's responsibility. Other duties may be assigned.
