- Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, scheduling, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure efficient and effective workflow.
- Lead and manage a team of machinists, operators, and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production processes, minimize downtime, and maximize productivity, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Coordinate with engineering, sales, and other departments to meet customer requirements and deadlines, while managing resources effectively and controlling costs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and procedures, including safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality management systems.
- 5 plus years of proven leadership experience in a machine shop environment, with a strong track record of managing teams and driving operational excellence.
- Extensive knowledge of CNC machinery, including set up, operation, maintenance, and programming, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize performance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset and a commitment to meeting deadlines and exceeding customer expectations.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/MRP systems, with the ability to generate reports, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field a plus.
